Asked if the UK had a duty under international law to inform the Equatorial Guinea Government about what it knew about the suspected coup, the PMOS replied that the matter had already been dealt with by the FCO. The FCO had indicated that the information they had did not suggest that there was any verifiable evidence that was different to speculation there had been in the past.
