Hunting

Asked if there was going to be a last minute deal with the Hunting Bill, the PMS said there were still discussions going on regarding the next step, and that she could not rule anything in or out. The House of Lords had ruled out any compromise last night, which had been disappointing, as they had been given an opportunity to phase in a ban. She added that she thought people would not have long to wait for the next step

Asked about rumours of a one clause bill being put into the Queen’s Speech to delay the introduction of the bill’s proceedings, the PMS said she was not aware of those rumours, but people should wait and see the outcome of the discussions.

  2. Sir, upon returning to the uk after a number of years, I am appalled at the amount of interference by your nanny state into every sphere of life, the proliferation of PC and the amount of time you have spent on trying to ban hunting; you are trying to destroy the very fabric of English life and heritage.
The state destroyed the shooting community, and yet there are now more illegal weapons than ever.
The consistent failure of the CSA beggars belief, the standard of education in this country is abysmal, and there are more people dying in hospital than on the roads.
