Asked for more information on the Prime Minister’s statement tomorrow, the PMS replied that journalists would have to wait for the statement.
Put that Jacqui Smith had told the Select Committee that there was now evidence for going beyond 28 days, and asked if we were aware of this, the PMS replied that we would be setting out all of these issues in the statement tomorrow.
Asked if there would be definitive proposals tomorrow or would there be a range of options for further consultation, the PMS replied that journalists should wait for the statement.
