Asked the daily question the PMOS said no. Asked if there had been any liaison between the police and No.10 regarding the inspection of diaries, the PMOS said that he answered only one question on this subject and no others. Asked if Andrew McNeal’s assertion that the Prime Minister would be questioned by St. Andrew’s Day, the PMOS said he would not give a running commentary on any police investigation.
Asked as the PMOS was a busy man wouldn’t the Metropolitan Police have to give a reasonable amount of notice if they wished to speak to the Prime Minster, the PMOS referred the journalist to his previous answers.
