1. The plan to build a huge 12000 capacity religious building next to the Olympic village is an appaling gesture to the world that this christian country is heavily influenced by Islam which is totally wrong and must not be allowed.

   The lasting thoughts of the world attending the olympics could be such that there will be a breach of trust in our long established beliefs and values

   St Pauls cathedralour main church which is much smaller took 1000’s of year to gain its historic and religious value to the community, this mosque no doubt funded by sources outside of this country and no doubt built quickly will devalue our religious values established over 2000 years.

   I am all for religious tollerance but not at the expense of losing christian values to Islamic values, which are not truely representative of this country.

   By all means build a mosque but do it with more thoughts of the established church here.

2. Plans by Tablighi Jamaat to build a 12,000 or more capacity mosque on land in West Ham should NOT be allowed. This is basically a Christian Country and we need to curtail the onslaught of Muslim domination of the world, which they confess to be their ultimate aim.
   The monies to build this project will quite obviously becoming from a source that also finances terrorism and no matter what our so called good Muslims say it will be a meeting place and a place to promote their causes.

3. Following this mornings Heaven & Earth programme I decided to find out more about the proposed Mosque in East London.
   One site I clicked on was the RADICAL MUSLIM website.
   I hope this is not the view of all muslims as it appears a site dedicated to the domination of the Britain.
   Not a true multicultural society.

4. I have no particular sympathies for Islamics and I feel that the proposed mosque, capacity 12000, is way too big for any needs within London. That could accommodate an army! Islamics thinking about coming to this country, for which so many of them have demonstrated their contempt, should include whatever lack of mosque space that they consider is the case. I have heard of no Christian church of a comparable size in any Islamic country. In Britain, we are the way that we are – and that’s not perfect – but if it doesn’t suit foreigners, they should stay in their own midden and not try to remodel ours.

5. I am strongly opposed to the proposal to build a ‘mega mosque’ near to the site of the Olympic Village in London. If there is any indication that the organisation behind the proposal is in some way linked to groups with radical views, or a history of terrorist activity, then planning permission should undoubtedly be denied. The Government should also look closely at the proposed private funding from Saudi, to ascertain whether or not this money is being provided by groups linked to terrorism. I am not anti-Muslim, or anti-Islam, but I do feel the rights of all Londoners should be considered, and a thorough investigation into this proposal be instigated before planning permission is granted.
