The Prime Minister expressed his full support. Asked if they had talked about initiative for a Middle East peace process, the PMOS replied that the Lebanese Prime Minister congratulated the Prime Minister on his Mansion House speech, and said that the prime Minister had expressed precisely and rightly the order in which issues should be addressed. Put that there were some pieces on the wires that said that the French, Italians and Spanish were about to launch initiatives on the Middle East peace process, and the PMOS said that we would wait and see. Put that there was a stray line on Iraq in the webchat that referred to an operation in Basra and them being halfway complete, and was that a specific operation, or did that mean we were halfway through, the PMOS said that it referred to Operation Sinbad, and it was about halfway through.
