Stem Cell Research
« Lloyds | Back to most recent briefing | Northern Ireland »
Asked whether the Prime Minister agreed with President Obama s decision to overturn the ruling on stem cell research in the US, the PMS replied that it was not for the Prime Minister to comment on decisions that were made by other leaders in their countries. The Prime Minister was a very strong supporter of stem cell research in this country and had consistently supported stem cell research both as Chancellor and Prime Minister including significant increases in funding for science across the board, which included stem cell research.
