Asked for detail on the tone of how the Chancellor characterised the Budget in Cabinet, the Prime Minister’s Spokesman (PMS) referred people to the Chancellor’s webcast from last night, where he had talked about where we were with the economic recovery and the progress that was being made.
Asked about the mood in Cabinet this morning, the PMS said that the mood was positive; Cabinet colleagues were encouraged by what they had heard from the Chancellor.
