Asked why the Prime Minister wasn’t leading the meeting with the Somali President, the PMS said that there was nothing to read into this – it had always been intended that the Foreign Secretary would meet the Somali President. The Prime Minister was making a particular effort to join the meeting and recognised the importance of Somalia.
