Asked if President Zuma had asked for footballer Steven Gerrard to present him with a Torres shirt, the PMS said no; it was a complete surprise.
Asked if there had been any thought in presenting the President with a Raith Rovers shirt instead, the PMS said no.
Asked when it was decided that Steven Gerrard would be present at the No10 reception, the PMS said earlier this week.
