Asked if the Cabinet was briefed on the Pre-Budget Report (PBR), the Prime Minister’s Spokesman (PMS) said that there would be a PBR Cabinet tomorrow morning.
Asked if the economy came up in Cabinet today, the PMS said that there was a presentation on the NHS vision for the future; a presentation from Yvette Cooper on the White Paper; and an update from Rosie Winterton on flood recovery in Cumbria.
Asked what the Prime Minister would see as the main objectives of the PBR tomorrow, the PMS said that it was for the Chancellor to deliver his Statement tomorrow afternoon.
Asked whether the Prime Minister had any views about any concerns the public had that taxes might be raised, the PMS said it was up to the Chancellor to make his Statement on any issues relating to tax related matters.
