North Korea
« D-Day | Back to most recent briefing | Vauxhall »
Asked whether the Prime Minister was concerned about the latest announcement from North Korea, the PMS said that we were concerned about this. This was clearly a further unnecessary and provocative act by the North Korean government, which would do nothing to advance the prospect of regional security and would only serve to isolate the regime further. We continued to call on North Korea to abide by their international obligations, including the relevant UN Security Council resolutions and we were working with our Security Council partners to put in place further measures through the Security Council.
