Asked whether the Prime Minister would discuss the Falkland Islands when he met the Argentinian President, the PMS said that we intended to raise G20 issues with the President of Argentina. The President of Argentina may want to raise other issues, but he would not want to forecast what they might be. There had been speculation that the Argentinians might want to raise the subject of the Falklands and in which case we would reiterate our longstanding position on the sovereignty of the Falklands and related issues.
