Anti-Social Behaviour
« FTSE/NHS Breakfast | Back to most recent briefing | Forest Gate »
Asked how the Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) penalties for local authorities would be applied north of the border, the PMOS said that it was a matter for the Scottish Executive to decide. Asked whether local authorities would lose their grants if they did not have an ASB strategy in force, the PMOS said that was one of the issues, which would be considered as a result of today’s study. Asked how that would apply in Scotland and Wales, the PMOS said those were matters of concern for the devolved administrations. The Prime Minister had been setting out his view of where he saw the public interest.
