Asked whether the Prime Minister would discuss Canadian troop levels in Afghanistan with the Canadian Prime Minister, the PMOS said that we welcomed the fact that Canada was playing a role in Afghanistan but

Canadian troop levels were a matter for the Canadian Prime Minister.
