Asked if there were any words on the death of David Walton, the member of the Bank of England’s Monetary Policy Committee, the PMOS said that the Prime Minister was obviously saddened by the news.

‘Obviously saddened’, eh?
Well it ain’t obvious to me, PMOS. I haven’t noticed the slightest change in our Tony’s demeanour.
Maybe he’s just good at hiding his feelings – in the same way as he’s good at hiding everything else.
