« Sir Howard Davies | Back to most recent briefing | Reshuffle »
The PMOS gave a brief on the Cabinet meeting which had taken place earlier in the afternoon. He said that much of the discussion was about economic growth. There were also brief updates on education reforms, the elections of police and crime commissioners, as well as foreign policy issues.
Asked about attendance at the Cabinet Meeting, the PMOS confirmed that the Secretary of State for Defence was the only Cabinet Minister who was unable to attend.
Asked about reports of certain reactions from Ministers who were leaving the government, the PMOS said that he would not be able to disclose the contents of private conversations.
