Asked what was the policy on the UK’s use of cluster weapons, the PMOS replied that the policy was that we used them in a managed and directed way, and that was within international law. Asked did we not support a ban on "dumb" cluster bombs, the PMOS repeated that our policy was that we used them in a managed and directed way, and we thought that others should do the same.
