Asked if the Treasury and Lloyds had come to an agreement in regards to the Asset Protection Scheme, the PMS said that talks were ongoing and at an advanced stage.
Asked if the Prime Minister was concerned by reports that Lord Myners was receiving a pension from NatWest, the PMS said that it was not appropriate for him to comment on a minister s personal financial interest, but that under the House of Lords code of conduct, Lords were required to register relevant financial and non-financial interests and Lord Myners had done so.
