Asked if the Prime Minister had any sympathy for MPs who also happened to be parents and if he thought that their childcare should be subsidised in any way, the PMS said that the Prime Minister’s position, without getting into individual cases, was that there needed to be a much greater degree of transparency in relation to MPs expenses than had hitherto been the case.
Asked if the Prime Minister was going to watch the Dispatches programme tonight, the PMS said that he was sure that the Prime Minister had better things to do with his time.
