When asked about UK contributions to the European Union, the Prime Minister?s Deputy Spokesperson (PMDS) said the Prime Minister was in ongoing technical discussions with the European Commission and others on how the figures were calculated. She added that further discussions with other European countries on the issue would take place at the Economic and Financial Affairs Council (ECOFIN) later that week.
When asked about freedom of movement within the EU, the PMDS said the Prime Minister was determined to address the British public?s concern about the impact of migration from the EU. She added that the government had already introduced reforms which included a 3-month delay before EU job seekers could access Jobseeker?s Allowance.
