Put that in regards to the announcement on the Government Job Centre application, not many unemployed people had iPhones, the PMS said that the Government was responding to the opportunity that this new technology presented. A number of people who were looking for work no longer needed to rely on physically going to Job Centres as they could access Government data online, and this innovation was another way for people to take advantage of the information we provided.

Asked if the Prime Minister agreed with the US Vice President’s comments on the Israeli settlements, the PMS said that he had not seen the Vice President’s comments in full but the Government’s general position on settlements remained the same.
