Asked if the Prime Minister was concerned with the fall in sterling today, the PMS replied that we did not comment on what happened in the financial markets, but the Prime Minister remained focussed on ensuring that the recovery in the UK economy continued.
Asked if the Prime Minister was monitoring sterling at all, the PMS said that the Prime Minister did not comment on what was happening in the markets.
Asked if the Government had a view on the effect polls had on currency markets, the PMS said it was not for him to comment on that.
