The Prime Minister’s Spokesman (PMS) started by saying that the Prime Minister was in Northern Ireland this morning. He and the Taoiseach had been engaged in discussions through the night, both with the Sinn Fein and DUP leaderships and with other Northern Ireland political leaders. Meetings would continue this morning and the Prime Minister continued to believe that there was scope for agreement on the elements that needed to be in place to enable the completion of devolution in Northern Ireland.
