Afghanistan

Asked if the Prime Minister had used the attacks in Kabul to call on NATO allies to commit to more troops in Afghanistan, the PMS replied that the contribution from ISAF members, not including the US currently stood at around 37,000 additional troops. The number of troops was one important dimension, but what was also important was the longer-term issues such as training up the Afghan police and army.
