Prime Minister’s regional tour
« Phone calls | Back to most recent briefing | Weather »
The Prime Minister’s Spokesman (PMS) began by saying that the Prime Minister had planned to pick-up his regional tour later today. However, having taken into account the poor weather conditions, the desire not to divert the attentions of the local police and authorities who were focussed on helping people deal with the snow and ice, and travel advise to members of the public who would be attending an engagement event not to travel unless absolutely necessary, he had decided to cancel his planned visits in the south and south west. It was regrettable as he was looking forward to visiting local businesses and having the opportunity to meet and discuss issues with local people.
