Asked if MP s expenses had been raised in Cabinet, the PMS said that everyone in Parliament was concerned with making sure the Legg review was conducted as quickly and effectively as possible.
Asked for the Prime Minister s view on MP s submitting PQ s to establish the cost of the Legg inquiry, the PMS said the Prime Minister s focus was on encouraging MP s to respond to Sir Thomas Legg s letters and to follow his lead in making payment. The PMS said the Prime Minister would encourage MP s to direct their questions about the process to Sir Thomas Legg.
