Comptroller and Auditor-General
« Gurkhas | Back to most recent briefing | CBI Speech »
Asked why the Prime Minister was making a statement on the Controller and Auditor-General and if it related to the expenses issue, the PMS replied the statement was a procedural one, that the appointee had already been announced, but a motion was required to be put forward by the Prime Minister. He confirmed it was separate from the issue of the independent commission, which would be dealt with by Harriet Harman in a statement at 12.30.
