Asked if there was any reaction to the court decision on the rights of settlement for Gurkhas, the PMS said that the Home Office had put out a statement on the Gurkhas, which said that we had always been clear that where there was a compelling case, Gurkha soldiers and their families should be considered for settlement. The revised guidance was under consideration and would be published on the 24th April and we would then consider all of the outstanding cases by this summer.
