Binyam Mohamed

Asked for more detail on the arrival of Binyam Mohamed in the UK, the PMS said that we could confirm that Binyam Mohamed would indeed be returning to the UK later today, but at this stage we were unable to comment on either the location or the exact timing of his arrival.

Asked if he would face any restrictions, the PMS said that public safety was absolutely our top priority and the Home Secretary would take all appropriate measures to maintain national and international security. We did have a number of options at our disposal to protect the public from terrorism-related activity but we were not in a position to comment on individual cases.
