Asked about the Department of Work and Pensions sending everyone home early because they wanted to enjoy the snow , the Prime Minister s Spokesman (PMS) said that he didn t know what this referred to and would not comment on something he hadn t seen.
Asked if the Prime Minister had had a chance to enjoy the snow today, the PMS said that the Prime Minister had been hosting the UK-China summit and was working in Downing Street for the rest of the day.
Asked if the Prime Minister was concerned that in the 21st century the capital city effectively ground to a halt due to snow, the PMS said that we had not seen these levels of snowfall for nearly two decades. As the Prime Minister said this morning, we were doing everything in our power to ensure that services, roads, rail and airports were open as quickly as possible.
