Asked about the reasoning behind the decision to change the script on MPs expenses, the Prime Minister s Spokesman (PMS) said that it was best to speak to Harriet Harman s office as this had been published in her capacity as the Leader of the House of Commons. The aim was to finish up with was a system that was more transparent than the current one.

Asked if the Prime Minister had spoken to Ban Ki-Moon today, the PMS said that the Prime Minister had not yet spoken to Ban Ki-Moon but planned to do so later in the day.

Asked about Digby Jones negative comments regarding civil servants, the PMS said that Digby Jones had also said that the civil service was full of honest, decent people who worked very hard.

Asked when the Prime Minister last spoke to Barack Obama and when they would next speak, the PMS said that the last time they spoke was when Barack Obama became the President Elect and we should wait in terms of their next conversation.
