Asked if the Prime Minister would suggest to Lewis Hamilton when they met this afternoon that he should come back to this country and start paying tax, the PMS said that the Prime Minister was presenting an award to Lewis Hamilton in recognition of his outstanding achievement in winning the Formula One Championship.
Asked if the Prime Minister had a view about high achievers who had been brought up in this country and did not pay tax, the PMS said that the Prime Minister would not comment on an individual s tax status.
