Put that the Justice Secretary had put down an order for the pay of the Information Commissioner to go up to £140k from £100k, and asked why he was worthy of a 40% pay-rise, the PMS replied that his understanding of the situation was that there was some specific issues relating to the role of the role of the Information Commissioner, but it was best to speak to the Ministry of Justice for details.
