Asked to flesh out what sort of things we were looking at in terms of citizenship, the PMS replied that there was not much he could say at the moment. We had asked Lord Goldsmith in July to look at a number of issues in relation to citizenship. All we were doing today was saying that we would bring forward a draft bill in order to take forward any recommendations from that process that required primary legislation.
