Spending Review

Asked if the Spending Review question could be asked, the Prime Minister’s Spokesman (PMS) replied that it could be but he would give the same answer he gave yesterday.

Asked if the thinking was that it would be difficult to do both a statement on Iraq and the Spending Review on the same day, the PMS said that there would be a statement on Iraq early next week when Parliament returns, but that he was not in a position to make any announcement or give any guidance at this point on the timing of the Pre Budget Report (PBR) and Spending Review.
