Family Values

Asked for a No10 reaction on behalf of the Prime Minister to David Cameron’s recent comments about the breakdown of families, the Prime Minister’s Spokesman (PMS) told the assembled journalists that she was not going to respond directly to the Leader of the Opposition, and recommended that people spoke to the Labour Party.

Asked what had been done by the Government to boost family policies, the PMS said that there was a long proven track record in terms of family policy, including tax credits, and measures lead by both DWP and DCLG. The PMS said again that she would not get into a direct response with the Leader of the Opposition and that people should speak to the Labour Party.
