Asked if the Prime Minister agreed with President Chirac’s comments yesterday that the prospects of an Iranian nuclear bomb were "not very dangerous", the PMOS replied that the Prime Minister’s view was that of the United Nations. Iran should comply with international obligations and that did not mean developing nuclear capacity. Asked further if President Chirac had expressed this view to the Prime Minister before, the PMOS replied that private conversations were private conversations.

Bullshit. Iran has every right under intenational law to develop nuclear technology. If anyone should comply with international obligations, it is the UK and USA – they should abide by international law and stop lying about certain country’s WMD programs in order to justify invading them, dividing their societies and stealing their natural resources. Incidentally, the UN’s own Nuclear Watchdog (IAEA) has also said that there is no evidence Iran is attempting to weaponize nuclear material, as has the CIA who said that it could be 8 – 10 years before Iran is in a position to manufacture nukes. Doesn’t it make you wonder just who exactly these lies are intended for?
