Iran

Asked if the Prime Minister was comfortable with the US position on Iran, the PMS referred journalists to what the Foreign Secretary had said yesterday. She had nothing further to add.
Asked if the Prime Minister shared the Foreign Secretary’s view that British support for military action would be inconceivable, the PMS said that we had repeatedly made it clear that military action was not on anybody’s agenda. We were all pursuing a diplomatic process and it was important that the process be allowed to continue.

So, not inconceivable. Quite the opposite.
If Israel or the USA does bomb Iran it seems inevitable we will be drawn in. Either Iran will hit at the USA in Iraq – ie "attack Iraq" which British troops are "protecting" under a UN mandate or our troops will be attacked directly. If Israel bombs Iran and they hit back the USA will retaliate and Iran will hit the USA in Iraq. Either action would give Blair the excuse he needs to join in.
It would be hard to see him standing down in the middle of such a serious conflagration.
