Asked what the Prime Minister might be doing tomorrow, the PMS said that she thought she spotted a reshuffle question in there somewhere. Asked if there might be a reshuffle the PMS said that she had nothing to add to her colleagues reply this morning (which had been that we anticipated a quiet week).
Asked if we had any reaction to the likely victory of Hamas in the Palestinian elections, the PMS referred journalists to Jack Straw’s comments this afternoon. She also said that the Prime Minister would be talking later and might have something to say. In any case until there was a clearer picture it would be unwise for her to comment.
