Parenting Classes/Benefits

Asked if the Prime Minister supported Patrick Diamond’s view that people who refused to attend good parenting classes should have some of their benefits docked, the PMS said that as a Civil Servant, she was unable to comment on ideas put forward in a paper written by Mr Diamond who was a political adviser. That said, the Government remained committed to helping people get back to work. Asked about Mr Diamond’s job description, the PMS said that he had been appointed Special Adviser to Alan Milburn having previously worked in Downing Street.

  1. Why is there the assumption that bad parents are receiving benefits? What about all the bad parents on six figure salaries?

There is a lone parent who has brought up a drunken, pot smoking idiot who cheats on school exams and joins the army because he couldn’t get a job anywhere else. Perhaps we should remove the Duchy of Cornwall from him until he attends ‘good parenting classes’.

  3. Its the same train of thought that gives the excuse for poor school results on ‘deprived areas’ because, as everyone knows, not having much money obviously means that you are stoopid.
