Continuous At Sea Nuclear Deterrent
« Unions | Back to most recent briefing | Policing »
Asked whether there was a change to the Continuous At Sea Nuclear Deterrent, the Prime Minister’s Spokesman (PMS) said that the position was as set out in the coalition document: that we would maintain a nuclear deterrent and that we would look at value for money of that deterrent.
Asked various questions about whether the Continuous At Sea Nuclear Deterrent would continue to be continuous, the PMS repeated that the Government’s position was set out in the coalition document and that there was a strategic defence review underway.
