Asked what the Prime Minister’s view was on the ACMD’s recommendation on Mephedrone, the PMS said that the situation was that a decision could be made this afternoon. The Chair of the Council, Les Iverson, had said that he would give advice today to the Home Secretary and that was to be welcomed. The Home Office believed that based on current information, the ACMD was still able to fulfil its statutory role and therefore could provide advice on Mephedrone today.
