Gurkhas

Asked if the Prime Minister thought it was wise for his Defence Minister to criticise Joanna Lumley, the PMS replied that Kevan Jones had made clear that he was sorry for any offence caused and that his sole concern was to stop unscrupulous middle-men ripping off vulnerable ex-Gurkhas who were entitled to settle in the UK.

The PMS added that as people would know, the Prime Minister had tremendous respect for Joanna Lumley and the role that she played in the Gurkha campaign.
