Asked if the Prime Minister would be having any further talks with Iceland regarding the repayment of loan money, the PMS said that this was a matter of concern and a referendum was due to be called in the next couple of months. We had been clear that we wanted the money to be repaid. The Treasury was leading discussions and lobbying around this and the Prime Minister remained in contact with the Chancellor.
