Extra Troops in Afghanistan

Asked for a reaction to the news from the NATO summit that at least 25 countries would send at least 7,000 extra troops to Afghanistan, the PMS said that if reports were correct then we would welcome the announcement.
Asked if the UK would send less troops if NATO countries sent more than the original 5,000 extra troops, the PMS said no; we were committed to sending our 500 troops.
