Asked if the Prime Minister had a comment on the progress of the Post Office dispute, the PMS said that it looked as though there had been some good progress. It was his understanding that the Union Executive Committee was meeting now, talks had been going on all day and those talks were about whether there was some real progress. If that was the case, the Prime Minister’s view would be that that could only be good news for Royal Mail and its customers.
