This should demonstrate how removed from public opinion the Conservatives are. They are wanting to fill the House of Lords with “Public friendly faces”. Whilst Kirstie Allsop advises on housing policy this is hardly a reason to give a peerage, particularly after programmes like Location, Location, Location caused a belief that you could not lose with property and contributed, in a slow way, to the balooning of peoples belief in the housing market.
