Asked if the US Government had told the UK that it would be increasing its troop numbers in Afghanistan, the Prime Minister s Spokesman (PMS) referred to what his US counterpart had said last night at a press briefing the President had not made a decision. The President was studying the McChrystal review and was having discussions with his commanders.
Asked about the Gray report on Ministry of Defence (MoD) spending, the PMS said that there was a press briefing this afternoon at the MoD with Bernard Gray and Lord Drayson in which people would have the opportunity to ask questions.
