Asked what the purpose of David Miliband’s statement to the House of Commons on Libya was, the Prime Minister’s Spokesman (PMS) said that it was appropriate to update the House on Libya given that it had been such a big topic over the summer. This was standard practice and the statement would cover a full range of issues in relation to Libya, including the Al-Megrahi case.
